Dr. Holdredge graduated with Honors from Emory University with a B.A. in Religious Studies. He married Susan, his college sweetheart, six weeks after graduation and went directly to the Medical College of Georgia where he completed his MD degree.
Though his intention was to become a Family Physician, Dr. Holdredge was so impacted by a short visit with Emory University Professor Dr. Luis Vasconez, that he changed his course and embarked upon a seven and a half year journey that would culminate in Certification by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. During this time Dr. Holdredge welcomed the opportunity for research in both laboratory and clinical settings, helping to establish the Microvascular Training Lab at the Medical College of Georgia.
After serving as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Holdredge came with his wife and four children to Anderson, SC, where he has enjoyed the private practice of Plastic Surgery since 1984. In addition, Dr. Holdredge has succeeded in completing two clinical research projects since coming to Anderson.
